Do you remember • When Mr. R Venkatraman, in his book wrote about how he returned the file of the appointment of Roxana Subramanian Swamy as Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court to the then Prime Minister Mr. Swamy accused Venkataraman of having given shelter at the Rashtrapati Bhawan to an Indian naval officer who confessed to have been a spy for Pakistan. Mr Swamy also said that part of the book was written because Venkataraman knew he was investigating a case against Venkataraman's daughter that she had misused the Rashtrapati Bhawan stationery to collect Rs 18 crore for a private Trust which she misrepresented as being an official Trust. A cinema-esque quality if conjuring up things. • He incessantly attacked Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi but later he pretended to be very close to him claiming the fact that Rajiv Gandhi wanted him to be the Prime Minister of India but he generously passed on the gift to Chandra Shekhar. This all in just a span of two years. • Not only lies, when he was serving as a law minister in Chandra Shekhar's Cabinet he tried to avoid an investigation against corrupt Supreme Court judge by taking the view that the motion of impeachment had lapsed on the dissolution of the House. This act was clearly anti-law and quite close to being called anti-India. • N.K. Singh, the then CBI Joint Director was investigating the St. Kitts forgery case in which Chandraswami , Mr Swamy's close friend was an accused, Mr Swamy and his machinery transferred Mr. Singh which delayed all the investigations for atleast two years. So, all this anti-corruption talk does not suit him. • It has also been proven in the court that Mr. Swamy passes contentious and mindless remarks about people around him. Mr. Ramjethmalani sued him for making defamatory during hearing of a case under the M.C. Jain Commmision Inquiry in which the former was acting as a counsel for Ms. Jayalalitha who had been alleged for links with LTTE. NEW DELHI: Inaccurate reports that a court had admitted Subramaniam Swamy's plea for the prosecution of P Chidambaram in the 2G casebrought Parliament to halt, with the Opposition demanding the resignation of Union home minister in both the Houses.BJP and AIADMK led the charge in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha even as the presiding officers pleaded that the Houses be allowed to discharge their scheduled agenda. The Lok Sabha saw two adjournments through Question Hour and Zero Hour despite Speaker Meira Kumar seeking normal functioning.
The same story repeated in the Rajya Sabha. BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu interrupted Question Hour in the Upper House to raise the issue of the home minister's alleged involvement in the 2G scam. Noisy scenes were witnessed as BJP members entered the well shouting slogans and calling Chidambaram "tainted".
Later, it transpired that the reports were rumours. Law minister Salman Khurshid said there was no cause to demand resignation of the home minister and that there wasn't any court order. He said one could not declare a person guilty just because the opposition does not like him. "Their demand is not acceptable," he told reporters.

Ever since the US declared the hunting season open in the middle east nations have been stridently clamouring there to do some culling on their own. That natural law should naturally extend all acoross the animal kingdom it would be considered discriminatory otherwise. International organisations as the world bank and the IMF should extend their full approval to logical solutions for problems that face mankind. I unfortunately have this issue of duality, nay multiplicity that goes into the making of the unity that is my universe. I t has something to do with the faith of my nation, retarded I guess. So with the base set up in Australia I do have the advantage of having a worthy ally with experience in culling native populations. Chidambaram apparently hasn't got the stomach required by the wild clamour of no one to clean up my neighbour hood? But then since we be not carnivores the borders better be left with someone who is not?

Well what Salman Khurshid says he says on behalf of Congress party. A guilty person will never admit to be guilty. Guilt has many facets which include promotion,facilitation,Silence,Tacit support or evasion and certainly out of 10 on 9 counts Chidu is guilty. Amazing turn of events. I remember reading in TOI that such news was a fact. P Chidambaram and A Raja met half a dozen times over 2G band allocation. Dr Subramanian Swamy being the instigator.

Chidambaram must resign over lathicharge: BJP
NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday disrupted both houses of Parliament and demanded home minister P Chidambaram's resignation over the police crackdown on party workers in the capital on Tuesday.The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day following noisy protests when members reassembled after the first disruption that forced the cancellation of the crucial question hour.
In the Lok Sabha, shouts of "Chidambaram isteefa do" (step down Chidambaram) caused a din as members gathered in the house after the morning adjournment.
Deputy Speaker Karia Munda, who was chairing the session, adjourned the house till 2pm.
The first hour meant for questions related to government activities and matters of public importance was lost to the protests against police lathicharge on BJP youth activists.
The BJP workers were demonstrating on Tuesday at Jantar Mantar to press for Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit's resignation over Commonwealth Games-related irregularities.
As the Lok Sabha members met a day after intermittent adjournments, Speaker Meira Kumar made an obituary reference to pay tribute to former MP Shantilal Purshottamdas Patel.
As soon as the Speaker called for the first of the listed questions, BJP MPs were up on their feet protesting against the police action which they alleged was ordered by Chidambaram.
"You cannot use force to stop those protesting against corruption and rising prices. That is why Chidambaram should resign," BJP MP Gopinath Munde told reporters outside Parliament.
The Rajya Sabha witnessed more noisy scenes, with some BJP MPs rushing towards the Chairman's podium and demanding Chidambaram's resignation and an explanation on why their party workers were lathicharge.

Do you remember • When Mr. R Venkatraman, in his book wrote about how he returned the file of the appointment of Roxana Subramanian Swamy as Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court to the then Prime Minister Mr. Swamy accused Venkataraman of having given shelter at the Rashtrapati Bhawan to an Indian naval officer who confessed to have been a spy for Pakistan. Mr Swamy also said that part of the book was written because Venkataraman knew he was investigating a case against Venkataraman's daughter that she had misused the Rashtrapati Bhawan stationery to collect Rs 18 crore for a private Trust which she misrepresented as being an official Trust. A cinema-esque quality if conjuring up things. • He incessantly attacked Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi but later he pretended to be very close to him claiming the fact that Rajiv Gandhi wanted him to be the Prime Minister of India but he generously passed on the gift to Chandra Shekhar. This all in just a span of two years. • Not only lies, when he was serving as a law minister in Chandra Shekhar's Cabinet he tried to avoid an investigation against corrupt Supreme Court judge by taking the view that the motion of impeachment had lapsed on the dissolution of the House. This act was clearly anti-law and quite close to being called anti-India. • N.K. Singh, the then CBI Joint Director was investigating the St. Kitts forgery case in which Chandraswami , Mr Swamy's close friend was an accused, Mr Swamy and his machinery transferred Mr. Singh which delayed all the investigations for atleast two years. So, all this anti-corruption talk does not suit him. • It has also been proven in the court that Mr. Swamy passes contentious and mindless remarks about people around him. Mr. Ramjethmalani sued him for making defamatory during hearing of a case under the M.C. Jain Commmision Inquiry in which the former was acting as a counsel for Ms. Jayalalitha who had been alleged for links with LTTE. Mr. Jethmalani won the defamation suit and Mr. Swamy had to pay him Rs. 5 Lakhs as a compensation.

i am very shocked indian reader have intheir mind, they are totally ingnorant about reality and dreaming mid day dreams,india is most corrupt, most poor becuase it has more abusing ,disinformation democracy than disciplined,accountable and punishment democracy, one can uderstand the iq of people,favouring parties instead of improving system and fighting for excellence,great law enectment,transferency and great accoutiblity,,majority of them are living in midday dream of utopia ,,lets come to ground and work with those who are trying to clean the system and help them little bit,,participating in lokpal movement, and charity,poverty elimination programes,thanks

Its evident in the TV reporting that Poor Police men got pelted with stones and were bleeding. If the demostration of BJP was peaceful, there could have been no injuries. There are rowdies in every paraty - BJP is not exception. When only the court will intervene and make the political parties liable for the distrubance and loss of properties. Police men/women are also our brothers and sisters.

Delhi police is not known for its 'deft' handling of demonstrations as was seen in the way it acted on the Ramlila maidan during the fast of Baba Ram Dev. Of course any demonstration must remain peace- ful but when there is a big number of protesters, there is bound to be commotion. The best way is to make an appeal to the protesters to keep within limits and not trangress them. Barricades are put up beyond Jantar Mantar in order to keep the protesters and demonstrators away from the road leading to the Lok Sabha. Some of the protesters may have tried to jump over the barricades but could have been stopped. A first lathi charge should be directed not at human beings but at the roads to keep them away. It is only when there is violence, the force used be used. But in India police are trained to use force that too brutal in the first instance. An ugly situation could have been avoided. Many a young person has got parts of their bodies fractured which would create problems for them in days to come. Heavy responsi- bility lies on the shoulders of the leaders who lead the demonstrations. They should not have allowed their followers to indulge in any kind of stone pelting. All this is unfortunate. Delhi police are caught on the wrong foot the second time. It naturally affects their image. People of Delhi would naturally ask why the police do not get so tough with those who indulge in snatching, looting of shops and even houses where the elderly live not to speak of the rapists who move about in their cars and drag a girl inside if she is walking on the road alone.

Perhaps, she has forgotten that when she was in Delhi Police, she had ordered a brutal lathi charge on the peaceful protest of lawyers of Delhi and there was a long strike by lawyers after that demanding her transfer from Delhi.

It is very sad to see that everyday opposition is coming with new things to disturb the normal proccedings of the parliment.Last session was ended in a similar fashion. These parties are only intrested in scoring the points against each other, for god sake allow the parliment to run and disucss whatever differences you have and pass the bills which are pending.

I was going through other posts on London riots and people (Indians) were complaining there that the UK gov should have taken some strict action by now. As per someone's mentioning about the video in which the youths started the violence, if that was the case then i would say that the lathicharge was not completely wrong, however it would have been better if dealt without it. (Protest has become a crime in this country)

PC is very close to Karuna. Both the peoples minds and thoughts are same. In his native place (Kandanur,TN) he is not recognised by his own community (Nagarthar -Chettiars). He is not recognised i.e elected by his constituency peoples this time. (He entered into parliment by doing fraudlent activities). He is not recognised as FM by Industrialists, thats why he was changed for his portfolio. He is not fit enough to be Home ministry, as naxals problem in Assam, cross border threats, bomb blasts in mumbai, etc. What great thing with him to continue as minstier. He must resign by himself for all the above reasons.
It is ironical that Kiran Bedi should criticise the police action on protesters sitting on dharna with Ramdev. Perhaps, she has forgotten that when she was in Delhi Police, she had ordered a brutal lathi charge on the peaceful protest of lawyers of Delhi and there was a long strike by lawyers after that demanding her transfer from Delhi.
