A chief minister lost power because of the alert Lokayukta. But it is embarrassing that the institution is now headless with the state government and the governor at loggerheads over the choice for the post," IAC's Prithvi Reddy said.
Hazare, former Lokayukta Santosh N Hegde, freedom fighter HS Doreswamy, Team Anna's Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Manish Sisodia will address a rally at Freedom Park on the afternoon of December 17, Reddy revealed.
The anti-graft crusaders will focus on iterating the importance of Lokayukta and the need to save the institution.
Public meetings will be held in Mysore, Gulbarga, Dharwad and other district headquarters across the state on that day to back the Save the Lokayukta campaign.
Hazare in Bangalore
Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare will be in Bangalore on December 17. He will interact with anti-corruption activists from various parts of the state in the morning and have lunch with them at Gandhi Peace Foundation on Kumara Krupa Road. This event not open to the public.
Later in the afternoon, Hazare will address a Save the Lokayukta campaign rally at Freedom Park.

The state of Gujarat has similar "Lokayukta" problem as that of Karnataka. Both states are controlled by Hindu fundamentalist Right Wing RSS Rascals, Rogues and Ruffians, major instigators of Kisan Cabal's so called "crusade against corruption," Oops, Congress corruption.
BJP, for the last three years since the Congress party led coalition came to power, the second time in a row, has been paralised by BJP gangsters, in two chambers, Lok Sabha, by Sushma Swaraj and Rajya Sabha, by Arun Jaitley.
If Kisan cabal cared a little for the distance factor, they could have easily chosen Gandhi Nagar, a suburb of Ahmedabad and banged Narendra Modi's reluctance to appoint a Lokayukta for good seven years. After the Governor appointed one as she had the clear conscience and power to appoint one, Narendra Modi went all the way to the Gujarat High Court to reject her choice and raised extraneous issues of, guess what?
