ET alleged that such and such "Tea party" between these two stalwart Indian women politicians had a tea, oops, a coffee, oops a cold glass of Coca Cola over how to dethrone BJP boy Atal Behari Vajpayee from his humpty-dumpty HinDooTVA wall, oops, "mayoor simhaasana." I slapped ET silly. They censored my objectionable, to them, not to me or the readers, comment. That is Free Speech, Indian 'Ishtail,' I say. Well I was more right than stupid ET. Our politicians are still trying to extract some mileage out of the civil war's issue. We had previously tried to help the people there but we couldn't (the people have suffered more instead). The people there have started to accept a common identity as srilakans. lets leave them alone now. We shouldn't be interfering in other countries internal matters. The only people who can help Tamils there are only they themselves. Like it or not that's the fact. I'm afraid by trying them for war crimes we would only fueling the tension already present between the two communities.
If it is SriLankas internal matters, then why did India supply weapons and share the spy information with Sri Lanka? Sri Lanka, which denies equal rights to its citizens is NOT A SOVERIGN COUNTRY. For eg. 35 marks is enough for a sinhala student to get into college, but a tamil student should score 80 to get college admission. Its not the Tamils, who are not thinking to live united, but the sinhalese, who are denying them equal rights from the time of their freedon from British. Theyare already in a freedom struggle for 60 years, and freedom from Sinhalese is the only solution for SL Tamils. The sinhalese army and Rajapakse & co SHOULD be tried for war crimes, and INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATION should be done. The world already has proofs for this. few weeks before an african army commnder was sent to jail for 30 years for war crimes. Not even 1 percent of reality in the Tamils land was published, so the international community is unkown of it, UN should bring it out.

What's done is done. at lease now we should try to act sensible. If they are not getting equal rights there then let them fight for it. It's like pakistan interfering with India's internal matters in Kashmir, Gujarat etc. Consider this, would you tolerate it if Pakistan started fighting for the indian muslims with India just because they all follow Islam??? What i'm saying is Community is not bigger than a country. Even LTTE had indulged in war crimes, so has the srilankan army, in a war such things are bound to happen. we've enough headaches without bothering to interfere with other countries. Lets not be stuck in the past. lets forget previous mistakes and become sensible and practical for a change.

Arrogance and super ego does neither bring benefit to the state nor to the country. Srilanka is a sovereign country and they have done a great job in liquidating the terrorist whose gang killed our former prime minister. We also have Maoists whom govt should eliminate may be with the help of Srilankan Army. As a strong neighbor it is our duty to prevail upon Srilankan govt. to rehabilitate internally displaced Srilankan Tamils. The Tamils on their part should give up separation agenda and try to blend with the mainstream Srilankans. Meanwhile Jayalalitha govt should prevent LTTE or their sympathizers to use Tamilnadu as safe heaven.

you are right, in tamil nadu we dont care about LTTE but these Sri Lankan tamils used to create a picture as if Indian tamils hate India, they are trying to black mail India by this way... even though politicians know this but they are not talking because of money they are getting from LTTE. Indian government and court has to take action against these people

JJ so kind of you. You normally have scant respect for PM or President. Nice to see that you consider TN a part of India. Years ago, remember, you refused to meet Vajpayye at the airport, probab ly for the first time a PM was cold shouldered by CM on a visit. Atalji is gods gift to India. So he ignored it, Please be like this all the time . Dont consider TN as another country
Five Priority tasks Tamilnadu Govt has now are: 1. Solving the perennial electricity scarce 2. Allocation of funds towards developmental schemes because of existing virtually empty treasury 3. Permanent solution to Sri Lankan Tamil issues (including immediate attention towards fulfilling their fundamental living needs) 4. Revisit to the safety of koodankulam and kalpakkam atomic power /research facilities 5. Solution to Tamil fishermen attacked continuously by Sri Lankan armed forces and retrieval of Katchatheevu. J's meeting with PM will only be on these lines and all the very best for a positive outcome.
